Arrotex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Associate to join our dynamic QA team in Sydney or Melbourne.
The Quality Assurance Associate will work collaboratively with the Scientific Affairs team and all stakeholders to deliver our quality, safety and compliance plans and objectives within our food, cosmetic and personal care portfolio. This is to ensure the products supplied to our customers meet the relevant regulatory, quality and safety standards, contractual obligations, and internal quality standards.
The Quality Assurance Associate will be responsible for supporting Quality Assurance and compliance activities, including.
- - Maintenance of all quality and food safety aspects of Supply Agreements
- - Product change control management,
- - Reviewing product and supplier quality performance, resolution of quality and compliance issues, and customer complaint handling.
Responsibilities
- Understands and can apply the principles of GMP, HACCP and ISO 22716 as they relate to foods and FMCG products and their associated manufacturing quality systems.
- Understands the various state and FSANZ code requirements relating to food standards and can manage the application of the standards with suppliers.
- Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate quality and compliance problems systematically and apply quality risk management principles to recommend workable outcomes; proactive anticipation of needs, with the ability to foresee challenges and problems, and take action to prevent them.
- Excellent/advanced written, verbal, and listening communication skills – produce well thought-out, professional written correspondence free of grammatical and spelling errors; speaks with confidence, and clarity and is easily understood; active listening to effectively receive, interpret, and analyse information.
- Well-developed organisation and time-management skills with an ability to balance and prioritise a variety of tasks and competing demands, to manage workflow efficiently and meet critical time frames.
- Proven self-direction with the skills to be resourceful and the ability to exercise discretion and judgment in working independently and as part of a team.
- Skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Requirements
- Proven ability to interpret the FSANZ Food Standards code and HACCP policies and procedures as they relate to Food and FMCG, and the ability to apply risk management principles, providing sound and balanced recommendations to management.
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of tasks with competing priorities.
- Direct experience supporting food / FMCG manufacturing, packaging, and/or testing operations.
- Understanding of Cosmetic regulations and requirements would be highly regarded.
