The opportunity The Senior Recovery Officer is responsible for the collection of outstanding revenue on behalf of the SRO, managing all aspects of recovery and resolution of a debt portfolio, and supporting the administration of various tax revenue lines administered by the SRO. The position provides a great opportunity to consolidate your effective debt management and customer service skills, and further your practical experience. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for: Initiating and managing appropriate recovery actions for a portfolio of debt. Liaising with customers and their representatives, via phone, email, and other channels, to provide and secure information necessary for the recovery of debt. Negotiating and monitoring payment arrangements within the assigned portfolio. Accurately recording detailed customer information through updating and maintaining customer databases. Achieving agreed performance targets and supporting business objectives. Who we are looking for To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience in a debt/revenue collection or fact paced customer services environment. Knowledge and understanding of the taxes, revenue lines and debt recovery processes. Excellent communication (interpersonal, verbal and written) skills with ability to manage conflict and negotiate effectively. Ability to manage workloads when faced with conflicting deadlines and priorities to meet team and branch objectives.
