What you can accomplish in the Role
The Senior Research Officer will be responsible for supporting the research team with effective coordination and day-to-day management of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) funded Partnership Grant: Working it Out Together! Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander led co-design for a strong and deadly health workforce.
In partnership with local communities, we will design and implement strategies to address local priority workforce issues such as: a) equitable systems and governance for local skills-based training and development, building pathways to increase and sustain Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers in a service; and b) improving cultural capability of the non-Indigenous health workforce to strengthen relational aspects of care and community trust in health systems.
What you will bring to the Role
- An enthusiasm and passion to develop a strong and deadly health workforce.
- A postgrad qualification and research experience in a relevant field
- comprehensive understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care.
- Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships and engage effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including Indigenous community organisations, government departments, academics, and field researchers.
- Demonstrated high level organisational, project management and time management skills.
