Our Youth Workers bring a genuine passion to make a difference in the lives of young people and our communities. Since opening our doors in 2006, we have made a difference in the lives of more than 1800 young people.
Our young people have complex needs, so our small, stable teams provide intensive therapeutic support and consciously and consistently uphold our high standards.
The Opportunity
We are looking for passionate Youth Workers to work directly with young people who are vulnerable and in need of assistance.
You will be the person in their lives to help them build life skills, healthy attachments, and most importantly be there for them when they need you the most. You will work through tough times and challenges together, knowing that the ultimate outcome is guiding them to live a fulfilled and independent life.
This role is for full-time permanent employment and requires availability across 7 days. We operate a roster of a minimum 5 x 24-hour shifts per fortnight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building rapport and trust with young people, acting as a role model with residential house duties.
- Navigate through their personal challenges, providing both emotional and professional support in collaboration with the team of Youth Workers, Case Managers, and other relevant community services.
- Help engage in post-crisis support functions to better support young people with complex needs and behaviours.
