THE ROLE:
As the Senior Resource Geologist, you will take a lead role in understanding the structurally complex, quartz-hosted mineralisation, and extending the resource of the Daisy Milano mine, located 50km South-East of Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the Geology Manager for Mount Monger, and with the support of the Perth-based Resource team, you will drive the growth of Daisy’s Mineral Resource and Ore reserves through targeting, drillhole planning and accurate estimation, ensuring the future success of the flagship mine of the Mount Monger Operations.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Validate and ensure integrity of the geological database
- Generate and validate 3D geological and mineralisation models
- Geostatistical analysis and resource estimation
- Design resource drilling programs to infill and upgrade existing Mineral Resource and Exploration targets
- Compile technical documentation for resource model estimations, internal and external
- Working within the underground teams to improve and optimise geological standards, practices and procedures.
- Generating, optimising and producing geological sections and ore body outlines for use by mining engineers
- Assisting in standardising resource definition and study tools, systems, standards, practices and procedures
- Optimising LOM schedule by working closely with planning team to prioritise projects and drilling programs
ABOUT YOU:
You are a high calibre Geologist with excellent attention to detail and a highly analytical approach. Your exceptional problem-solving skills, adaptability and interpersonal skills will see you thrive within this small team environment and excel in this role.
You can demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of gold mineralisation and gold deposit styles and characteristics
- Background in modelling complex, narrow vein gold deposits
- Experience in geostatistics and resource estimation
- Minimum 3-5 years in an underground mine geology role
- Highly computer literate with expertise in geological modelling software
- Familiarity with Datamine, Datashed, Supervisor and Leapfrog would be advantageous
- Professional membership of AusIMM or AIG
- Previous experience as a Competent Person as defined by 2012 JORC Code would be advantageous

This role is offered on either an 8:6 FIFO or 5:2 residential role from Kalgoorlie, and will attract an excellent salary with short and long term incentive plans.
