The position oversees the daily operation of the Customer Services and Revenue section, ensuring that all due revenues are correctly identified, levied and collected, in compliance with relevant statutes and Council policy. A high quality level of knowledge is required to administer the rating, voting and special rate provisions.
Applicants must have:
- a relevant degree or diploma and or relevant experience
- well-developed oral and written communication skills
- a working knowledge of accounting practices
- a sound knowledge of property ownership maintenance
- a high level of computer literacy and the ability to navigate efficiently between different software applications
- a detailed knowledge of administration procedures
- supervision and conflict resolution skills
The incumbent must also be able to work effectively and efficiently in a pressured and at times demanding environment. A current Police Check, no longer than six months old is essential for this position, prior to employment.
