How will I help?
Senior Risk Analyst within the Mortgage Credit Risk team with a focus on mortgage portfolio management and optimisation.This role will help establish and maintain "best practice" risk management policy and processes that support the stated risk appetite, product, and customer strategy. The role will have a large focus on the development of analysis and insights to drive strategic changes that optimize portfolio performance and customer experience across multiple brands including Westpac, St George, and RAMS within the Westpac Group.

- Technical / quantitative orientation - role requires a strong analytical background with a focus on using data, research, advance visualisation, and analytics to improve the risk management of the mortgage portfolio.
- Research and develop risk insights on significant portfolio performance trends, regional economic drivers, housing market dynamics and customer behaviours.
- Development, implementation and monitoring of credit policies and strategies, such as property valuation, serviceability assessment, scorecards, comprehensive credit bureau, to improve portfolio profitability and customer experience.
- Develop and enhance portfolio reporting with advanced data visualisation to discover deeper portfolio insights.
- Maintaining effective partnership with key stakeholders by providing timely support in relation to credit risk, business development and portfolio management initiatives.
What do I need?- Tertiary qualifications (Statistics / Math / Actuarial / Business).
- Proficient with data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Strong programming skills with experience in SAS and SQL preferred.
- Strong Excel skills with Tableau experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Commitment to performance
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
- Teamwork and Customer focus
- Good time management skill and work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience and knowledge of credit risk management, credit scoring, scorecard development and statically modelling is highly desirable but not essential.
