We are seeking a Senior Risk, Audit and Compliance Advisor who will be responsible for assisting the SA-based team in completing all aspects of compliance and risk to the organisation, its employees, and clients, in support of the delivery of strategic objectives and to meet the obligations of all relevant industry regulators and licensing/claim management regimes.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• Assist the business unit to reduce its risk profile
• Pro-actively support the business in improving their processes and controls
• Manage and foster open, transparent and trusting relationships with our internal and external clients
• Provide independent and transparent advice to our internal and external clients and Compliance & Quality management
• Deliver a well communicated and consistent product to our internal and external clients (ReturntoWorkSA, EY, PwC, KPMG).
• Provide Senior Managers with results of an agreed suite of testing against contractual / legal / statutory requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Test the effectiveness of identified controls, or, if assurance cannot be provided, highlight control gaps to managers and suggest solutions/provide advice to address the gaps identified
• Provide technical advice on audit requirements and develop criteria for new internal audits
• Undertake/chair Pre-Audit meetings to discuss Audit scopes; and Exit Meetings to discuss the Audit results with key stakeholders and external parties, where required

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

• Industry related experience in workers compensation and/or risk and Compliance
• Understanding of the Return to Work Act 2014 and other Legislative requirements
• Experience in undertaking risk-based and/or quality audits
• Relevant experience with Agents or industry
• Strong analytical thinker with a holistic approach to problem-solving
• Ability to build relationships with all levels of staff and stakeholders
• Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal
