You'll be responsible for

  • Survey large and complex customer operations in the construction sector of the Energy & Construction business area, obtain appropriate data, identify hazards and discuss findings with appropriate parties.
  • Generate loss control reports, including risk improvement recommendations and complete desktop reviews.
  • Respond to technical enquiries and provide technical guidance to AGCS underwriters and claims personnel in respect to loss control services, participating on projects as required.
  • Manage and develop relationships with internal and external customers, responding to customer requirements in compliance with Technical Service Standards.
  • Manage all expenses associated with the position to plan in accordance with AAL policy.
  • Identify, communicate and help facilitate areas for continuous improvement of processes including across people and tools.

About you
  • 5 - 10 years construction knowledge expanding across a range of construction projects / sectors with tertiary education.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards related to construction, occupancy and construction work permit systems.
  • Familiar with;
    • Construction methodologies of a range of construction projects and across construction sectors.
    • Fire protection and prevention systems and requirements.
    • Loss mitigation measures, such as water ingress, water damage, leak detection, ruptured fittings, etc.
    • Knowledge of risk management, risk registers, change management.
  • Ability to travel within Australia to conduct site meetings.
  • Experience working within the Insurance industry is highly regarded.
