MAYDAY Recruitment are seeking a Senior Risk Underwriter to join a leading organization, driving excellence in the insurance industry.As a Senior Risk Underwriter/Risk Underwriter, you'll be pivotal in managing high-value strategic clients, steering credit risk, and fostering growth within the business.

- Manage a portfolio of trade credit clients.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings to discuss credit risks, policy coverage, and credit limit requirements.
- Ensure ongoing profitability of policies and maximize client retention.
- Provide efficient underwriting services for the new business team.
- Adhere to the risk underwriting strategy to achieve new business and retention targets.
- Assess credit limits within agreed SLAs based on comprehensive analysis.
- Promote the profile in the market by building strong relationships with key broker partners.
The ideal candidate
- A degree in business, finance, or equivalent experience.
- Experience within asset finance, insurance or banking necessary.
- Trade credit experience an advantage but not necessary.
- Track record of making significant decisions in a fast-paced setting.
- Expertise in credit risk roles with considerable lending authority an advantage
- Proficient in utilizing IT tools and platforms.
- Strong relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
