- Leading and guiding a small team of safety administration and data specialists to provide insights into potential project health and safety risks.
MRPV’s supportive and highly regarded health and safety team are seeking a solutions-orientated Senior Safety Advisor who thrives in implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a major infrastructure environment. As our next great Senior Safety Advisor – Compliance, Governance & Systems, you are excited by the notion of shaping the landscape of health and safety at MRPV. In addition, you will be motivated to provide a comprehensive range of services to MRPV to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our stakeholders.
About You
You will be a team player with the ability to jump in and get your hands dirty! This opportunity will give you the chance add your specialised skills to Victoria’s infrastructure sector.
In addition, you will possess:
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills when collaborating with stakeholders, including an ability to communicate issues and solutions in a manner which is easily understood by a wide range of stakeholders at various levels.
- A demonstrated ability to build, maintain and influence effective, constructive, and collaborative relationships across all levels with employers, contractors and within the wider department.
- Exceptional working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, regulations, and other associated legislative requirements and their application
- Diploma Qualification in OH&S or equivalent is a minimum requirement of this role
A qualification in OHS Management Systems lead auditor (or equivalent) is highly desirable, however not essential.
