Senior Safety Facilitator Req. Id: 7034 Date: 30 Jan 2024 Location: Brisbane, QLD, AU, 4000 Company: Queensland Rail Our South East Queensland Safety Risk & Assurance teams are looking for two experienced Senior Safety Facilitators. These are permanent full time opportunities based in the Brisbane CBD. Queensland Rail's Senior Safety Facilitators have a key role in: Providing a high standard of Work Health and, Safety (WHS) support, including risk management and compliance to standards. You will attend site inspections, facilitate the implementation of new processes, and provide coaching and mentoring to leaders. As well as: Facilitate the anticipation, identification, evaluation and control of WHS hazards and risks through involvement in planning, risk assessments, accident investigations, consultative arrangements and overseeing the process incident and hazard reporting. Assist in the development and maintenance of WHS hazards and risks registers and ongoing safety improvement programs. Consultatively facilitate the development of issue specific and systemic treatment strategies and programs for the management of WHS risks. Conducting analysis, process review, audits, inspections, and task observations and communicate findings and recommendations to management and staff. Facilitate the management of change on HSE strategies and issues by providing advocacy and supporting the flow of information. Other important factors: These roles will have a combination of office and site-based presence. Travel will be required often across our SEQ Network (a Queensland Rail vehicle will be available for work travel where required) and occasionally. Be available to work occasional rostered weekend work, this is generally pre-planned and limited. Position Description About you: We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual who is adaptable with outstanding communication, influencing, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills. Exceptional interpersonal and written and oral communication skills to liaise effectively across a broad range of stakeholders. WHS qualification is desirable. Excellent skills in investigation, analysis, problem solving and attention to detail. Substantial level of knowledge of WHS Act. Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task. Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting others in the achievement of team goals.
