This position is focused on instructing students in years 10-11 in a full-time, ongoing role starting mid Term 2. - Design and implement engaging and comprehensive visual art curriculum aligned with VCE standards and requirements.
- Create lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, incorporating various art techniques, art history, and critical analysis.
- Deliver effective instruction in visual art concepts, techniques, and processes to VCE students, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression.
- Assess student work through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback, and evaluating student progress in alignment with VCE assessment criteria.
- Organise and supervise extra-curricular activities such as art exhibitions, excursions, and workshops to enhance students' artistic experiences and skills.
- Provide personalised support and guidance to students, including academic assistance, mentoring, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Fulfil administrative duties related to record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with VCE guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Must have full Australian working rights
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Hold current VIT registration
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching VCE Art in Australia
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
- Commencing as a full-time, ongoing position starting from now
