About the role We are looking for a Network Security Engineer to Responsible for producing the AIR7000Ph2 project security documentation, and facilitating the process associated with the security certification and accreditation of its systems. About you Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ability to maintain security awareness and implement security best practices.
- Experience working in Network Operation Centre environment,
- Experience in an Agile development environment.
- Experience in developing Detailed Designs.
- Experience in developing Build Instructions (BIs).
- Ability to work well in a team environment, communicate effectively with technical leads & project management and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to learn new concepts and skillsets and improve upon existing technical knowledge.
- Ability to conduct research, as well as rapidly learn new concepts and tasks, with a view of improving technical knowledge and skills.
- Above average troubleshooting skills.
- Current AGSVA TSPV security clearance preferred. NV2 security clearance required (with willingness to upgrade to TSPV).
Requirements:
- TSPV security clearance preferred. NV2 security clearance required (with willingness to upgrade to TSPV).
- Experience in facilitating the security accreditation process within Defence.
- Strong background in network security.
- Knowledge and experience with Government security frameworks such as the Information Security Manual (ISM) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
- Discuss security implications from high-level and detailed designs with internal and external stakeholders and develop pragmatic solutions to minimise security risk.
- Assimilate information from multiple sources to develop the following security documentation:
- System Overview Document (SOD)
- Statement of Applicability (SOA)
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Security Risk Management Plan (SRMP)
- System Security Plan (SSP)
- Incident Response Plan (IRP)
- Ability to establish strong relationships with certification consultants to ensure security documentation is fit for purpose.
- Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to provide outcomes in an environment with limited information and uncertainty.
- Effective planner with efficient time management skills
- Current AGSVA TSPV security clearance preferred. NV2 security clearance required (with willingness to upgrade to TSPV).
