Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Security Engineer. The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to application security, network security, cybersecurity, security engineering, and information security. The role is located in Sydney, NSW.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on IAM, SOC, SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint protection.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, frameworks, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including but not limited to Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar, McAfee, Symantec, and CrowdStrike.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
- Advanced knowledge of scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
- Strong project management skills.
