The Senior Service Engineer, Production Readiness role is responsible to lead Production Readiness activities for projects according to Westpac standards and practices. The role supports the effective management and governance of projects transitioning into production to ensure that solutions delivered into the production environment are designed for Run/Operations (ie. all Service Management non-functional requirements have been implemented as required and all Service Management Policies and Standards are adhered to as expected).
The role will include, and is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Service Readiness - To ensure that solutions delivered into the production environment are designed for Run/Operations (ie. all Service Management non-functional requirements have been implemented as required and all Service Management Policies and Standards are adhered to as expected)
- Production Readiness - To ensure projects are operationally ready prior to implementation and that Run/Operations teams are ready to accept any new change or solution into production and are enabled to effectively support services provided by the solution.
- Engineering Readiness - To ensure that solutions delivered into the production environment have IT NFRs applied and where possible automation is built in as part of the solution.
- Target Architecture - To ensure that solutions delivered into the production environment address technology debt and roadmap compliance.
- Compliance & Risk - To ensure early identification and proactive remediation of issues and Findings impacting potential delivered Service Risk, ultimately minimising delivered Service Risk into production and/or enabling Run/Operations teams to establish sufficient mitigating controls before delivery of Service Risk into production.

What do I need?
Essential:
- 4+ years experience with Technology development lifecycle.
- 2+ years experience with Technology risk.
- 2+ years experience with Technology Engineering.
- Senior stakeholder and relationship management experience.
Desirable
- Project Management experience
- Operations management experience
- Agile/DevOps experience
- Site Reliability Engineering experience
- Risk management experience
- Architecture experience
