Our Mungari Gold Operations are a cornerstone asset located 28km west from central Kalgoorlie, Western Australia (WA) and 600km east of Perth. Mungari has a predominantly residential workforce, with many living in Kalgoorlie Boulder, giving employees the luxury of coming home every day.
Earlier this year we announced our expansion project, a $250m investment to expand our processing mill. This investment will extend Mungari’s mine life to 15 years and double annual production to over 200,000 ounces per year post commissioning. It’s an exciting time to join the Mungari Operations!
About the role Reporting to the Underground Mining Superintendent, we are looking to appoint an Underground Senior Supervisor to provide operational leadership at Mungari Operations and play a key role in leading the mine development and production teams. Key result areas include:
- Frontline leadership and engagement with stakeholders
- Ensuring safe and productive work practices are executed
- Supporting the Underground Mining Superintendent to ensure performance, behaviour, and development of your teams is inline with Evolution Values and business objectives
- Working closely with support departments to safely and efficiently deliver the weekly mine plan.
About you As the Underground Senior Supervisor you will have extensive experience working in an underground production environment at Supervisor level and will have demonstrated how you have successfully led teams to safely deliver to plan. It is anticipated that you hold a current WA Underground Supervisor’s Certificate and associated competencies under the new legislation. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Leadership skills including the ability to manage change, influence and motivate
- Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory framework
- Contractor management experience
