Job Summary
Due to large scale project awards, we are now hiring experienced and enthusiastic Civil Superintendents/Senior Supervisors to join the DTI team to help build sustainable, long lasting infrastructure solutions across WA. You will have an exciting opportunity to commence early on the project as part of a plan, design and construct team where you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and have a major impact on project outcomes.
Due to current workload, coupled with upcoming opportunities we are now looking to further enhance our delivery capabilities we are now hiring experienced Civil Superintendents/Senior Supervisors to joing the DTI team. We have opportunities available across WA (Metro/DIDO/FIFO).
The Civil Superintendent/Senior Supervisor will provide effective oversight of employees and to ensure assigned work conforms to quality and time requirements and is executed safely at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve programme milestones within budget for plant, materials and overtime.
- Ensure works meet quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with rail safety legislation at all times.
- Assess progress and productivity and implement action for improvement.
- Monitor the performance of employees against their roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure all employees are suitably inducted, trained and assessed and certified prior to starting on site.
- Ensure regular toolbox talks and daily task briefings take place.
- Coordinate construction activities with other rail discipline sand ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications.
- Monitor construction progress against program
- Manage direct labour and sub-contractors.
- Experience in large scale multi-disciplined civil infrastructure projects
- Experience in working with track machines i.e. tamping machine and rail grinders
- Minimum 5 years construction experience
- Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure preferred
- You must reside in Perth, WA to be eligible for this position and have full Australian work rights.
