Along with retail on the ground floor and a conference center over 2 levels, this project will set a new standard in vertical retirement living. A large early works package was also included requiring the building of a new dam, weir wall and detention basin as well as basement parking up to and including podium level.ABOUT THE ROLEComing from a previous Site Manager role looking for the next step in your career, you will join a high performing team lead by an experienced Senior Project Manager. As a senior member of the team, you will work hand in hand with the Project Manager to ensure the project is delivered to a high standard by supervising, coordinating and helping to implement all activities on the construction site.As our Senior Site Manager, you will sit within the Senior Leadership Team of the project, leading your stream of team members while also mentoring our junior staff.Procurement has commenced and works are due to commence onsite this month.Your day to day tasks will require you to: Co-ordinate and implement all day-to-day activities on the site Drive the objective of management of subcontractors to achieve timely progress, quality assurance and safe deliverables of the projectEnsure the efficient and effective programming and coordination of works to ensure all opportunities are maximised and risks are identified and minimisedSuccessfully implement and manage the Company’s Management Systems, to achieve the highest quality project outcomeEffectively manage the construction program to achieve progress and project delivery schedulesThrough leadership and people initiatives, drive a high performing culture of professionals who positively promote the company values and strive to achieve the corporate goals through thepromotion of a harmonious work environmentManage and coordinate materials, plant and equipment on-site Effectively communicate with all clients, ensuring the company and its reputation are being upheld at all timesSkills/QualificationsA Senior Site Manager at Growthbuilt will typically bring the following things to their role:Trade or tertiary qualifications in building, construction or similarSite management experience in a tier 2-3 building environment, including supervision and organization of contract personnelDemonstrable experience as a Foreman (General, Structures or Finishes) on multi-level commercial/residential projects Proven experience in effectively managing a team including sub-contractors, in a professional manner and ensuring longevity of relationshipsExperience in managing and maintaining existing client relationshipsStrong understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation and requirements, and proven experience of effectively controlling site safety and environmental complianceAbility to read and interpret plans and specificationsTHE PERKSGreat opportunity for a Site Manager looking to join a Tier 2 Head Contractor as part of the projects Senior Leadership TeamFriendly and welcoming teamHands on support from your Construction Manager and Senior Leadership teamPermanent Role to grow with us beyond project completion
