About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Compare The Market (CTM), you will play a pivotal role in translating complex problems and exciting opportunities into innovative technical solutions.
You will have the opportunity to be part of our delivery team, which operates in a continuous delivery model (Agile), working on carefully planned and prioritised initiatives.
The focus will be on delivering quality software efficiently for both internal and external stakeholders. As a Senior Software Engineer, you are driven and passionate about quality, design, reusability, maintainability and can lead the design, planning and execution of development assignments across an enterprise-scale application landscape.
Compare the Market is redeveloping its core platform using the latest technologies and using this to underpin all our service offerings including Energy, Insurance and Lending, so there will be scope to work on a range of exciting projects covering our whole business.

Work with peers to solve complex problems and build quality softwareCollaborate with different stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver outcomes efficientlyParticipate in and lead the delivery of technical solutionsDrive quality and excellence through adoption of best practices and setting standardsProvide guidance and mentor junior team members
What you’ll bring
5+ years of professional software development experience2+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems2+ years of experience in a leadership or mentoring roleProven experience with Java, .NET and ReactExperience with Cloud services such as AWS and AzureExperience with RESTful API and microservices architecture
