Position Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Platform team at Sine, you'll work alongside our cross functional teams to develop efficient and robust systems that makes their everyday work faster and easier. Along with the wider Product Development team, you'll be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle including gathering requirements, solution design, development, testing and deployment.
What you'll do

• Work with a modern stack which includes Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Node, Postgres, Elastic, MongoDB, Redis and React. It's a lot of technology to get your head around but you shouldn't get bored.
• Take feedback from our Product Development Teams and implement the features they need to get their software out faster and better than ever.
• Day to day development will primarily be modules and microservices written in TypeScript and associated web technologies.
• Foster team development by reviewing code, providing constructive suggestions, and mentoring other team members.
• Create, apply, and promote high-quality engineering practices - the golden path.
• Support your code throughout the software development lifecycle, including monitoring its performance and functionality in production.
• Work on your own during our Friday free time where you can work on projects or training outside of your team and day-to-day responsibilities.
• Experience a supportive and engaging culture that encourages personal growth and responsibility.

What you'll need

• 5+ years practical experience developing software solutions in a comparable software stack.
• Backend development skills preferably using TypeScript and/or JavaScript in NodeJS are preferred but we're looking for great Software Engineers, not just one trick ponys. We will also like to talk to developers from other languages such as C#, Go, Java, Rest, Ruby or PHP.
• RESTFul API design.
• Understanding of relational database concepts.
• Solid understanding of security, web standards and architecture.
• Good understanding of software design principles and architecture.
• Ability to understand both functional and non-functional requirements of a solution which is built for scale.

Nice to have

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent software discipline.
• Strong JavaScript background in web applications and Node.js
• Some experience in Front End web development using TypeScript and/or JavaScript and a modern framework such as React, Angular or Vue
• Experience working with Single Page Applications (SPAs)
• Experience working with AWS
