The Role
In this role you will work closely with key partners and department heads in all areas of commercial litigation disputes, with a particular focus on retail leasing nationally.
Your work will regularly include a mix of general commercial litigation, debt recovery and insolvency matters and include:
- providing clear and commercial legal advice;
- identifying practical and innovative solutions to clients;
- appearing in multiple jurisdictions; and
- drafting correspondence and various court documents for multiple jurisdictions.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a solicitor in a well-regarded commercial law firm with a focus on commercial litigation or a mix of generalist commercial and disputes.
In addition, you will have:
- at least 5 years’ post admission experience;
- admission as a Lawyer in Queensland, holding a current practicing certificate allowing you to appear in the High Court and Federal Courts;
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- a commercial and pragmatic approach;
- strong attention to detail and polished drafting ability;
- ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- a high level of client service delivery standard.
