About the Role:
Our client, a leading healthcare facility based in Metro South QLD, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sonographer to join their dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art department that offers a wide range of services including Obstetrics, Gynae, Paediatrics, Vascular, Breast, basic MSK, General, and Small parts.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfil the accountabilities and responsibilities of this role in accordance with our client's purpose and objectives.
- Staffing and budget responsibilities.
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
- Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality in the delivery of healthcare by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
- Exercise independent professional decision making to manage Radiographic, CT and Ultrasound clinical procedures and complex caseloads.
- Perform duties with a high degree of independence and assumes individual accountability for actions in regards to clinical and operational work practice, patient care and safety.

Our client is the major provider of public healthcare services, and health education and research, in the Brisbane south side, Logan, Redlands and Scenic Rim regions.
They serve an estimated population of 1.2 million people, 23 per cent of Queensland’s population. They employ more than 14,000 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff and have an annual operating budget of $2.776 billion.
Their catchment spans 3,616 square kilometres and covers the area from the Brisbane River in the north to Redland City in the east, south to Logan and the eastern portion of the Scenic Rim to the border of New South Wales. They have five major hospitals in addition to a number of health centres throughout the region.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Sonography or equivalent.
- Current registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
- Extensive experience in Obstetrics, Gynae, Paediatrics, Vascular, Breast, basic MSK, General, and Small parts ultrasound examinations (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in working with digital worksheet/reporting systems, such as Sonoreview.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry best practices.
