About the Role
In this role you will be required to but not limited to:
- Provide training and support to other state schools Speech Language Pathologists to build capacity and promote and ensure best practice in Speech Language pathology service delivery.
- Facilitate group supervision on clinical topics
- Provide professional leadership to ensure identification of appropriate response and interventions to support curriculum delivery and enhance learning outcomes for students with Speech Language communication difficulties
- Lead and conduct specialised projects and innovative research activities relating to the delivery and continuous improvement of Speech Language therapy services within schools.
- Represent the department on committees and at a variety of forums on issues relating to Speech Language therapy, including with inter-departmental committees, service providers, professional associations, education and tertiary institutions and community representatives.
- Maintain currency of high-level knowledge and skills relating to the department generally, and the provision of Speech Language pathology services in education.
- Supervising university students and provide mentoring for speech-Language Pathologists providing student clinical placements, as required.
