The Department of Education in North Coast Region is seeking an HP4 Senior Speech Language Pathology (Supervisory) to join our team based in Sunshine Coast, Gympie or Wide Bay. This role is offered on a permanent part-time basis at 38 hours and 0.5 FTE per fortnight.

About the Role:
As a Senior Speech Language Pathologist (supervisory) you will be responsible for providing leadership and clinical supervision to school-based Speech Language Pathologists in the delivery of safe, effective high-quality services to support children and students to access and fully participate in their learning.
North Coast Region is seeking 0.5FTE permanent Senior Speech Language Pathologist (Supervisory) to join their team. The location is flexible and can be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Please note that this recruitment process will be utilised for any temporary or permanent vacancies which may arise in the next 12 months.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership and clinical supervision to school-based Speech Language Pathologists aligned with the Therapist Clinical Supervision Guidelines.
- Provide induction and on-boarding to school-based Speech Language Pathologists new to the role in collaboration with the school-based line manager and Senior Advisor, Speech Language Pathologist.
- Identify and respond to professional, organisational and personal learning needs of school-based Speech Language Pathologists.
- Collaborate with Senior Advisors and Senior Officers across all therapy streams to identify and respond to common issues impacting therapy services in education.
- Direct and support Speech Language Pathologists and school management teams in assessing Speech Language pathology requirements and identifying appropriate Speech Language pathology responses and interventions to support curriculum delivery and students with Speech Language communication needs.
Mandatory requirements:
- A relevant degree in Speech Pathology from a recognised tertiary institution, or other qualification which in the opinion of the Director-General, department of Education, or delegate, are acceptable.
- Eligibility for certified practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- This position may require the incumbent to operate a government vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. (Queensland ‘C” class license).
- The incumbent is required to work throughout the service area of the position's base location.
- Travel, including overnight travel is a requirement of this role.
