Job description

We are looking for a passionate and engaging Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team at Werribee, VIC.

The opportunity:
We are seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our clinic located in Werribee clinic in VIC to work with clients and families to maximise development, overcome individual challenges and improve performance in motor skills, self care, play, school and learning.

What will you be doing:
Reporting to the practice principal and working within a multidisciplinary team environment you will provide evidence-based assessments, therapy and intervention sessions to a mixed caseload.

  • Conduct assessments
  • Develop tailored therapy programs
  • Provide direct and indirect therapy interventions
  • Work closely with key stakeholders providing information, education and support.

What you need to join:

  • Compliance – National Police Check, Working with Children check, NDIS Workers Screening check, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Driver’s License & Vehicle.
  • Relevant qualifications and current registration with APHRA Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
  • Experience working with children and/or disability and confidence in your role with children and their parents. (preferred)

The opportunity:

  • Provide evidence based assessment and therapy to a paediatric caseload - direct support to children with developmental delays and/or disabilities;
  • Day to day in the role will include assessment and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload;
  • Interventions are one-on-one with focus on evidence based practice;
  • Appointments can take place in our fantastic clinic space, at client’s homes, schools and via telehealth - administer assessments, providing direct and indirect intervention, liaising with families, teachers, professionals and support staff;
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes;
  • Supervision of junior team members, running group supervision and discipline specific meetings, assisting staff with time management and organisation, development of clinic resources, feeding back to management at local and national level the needs of the team.

What do you need to join?

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline;
  • Passion for making a difference with a focus on making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful for families!
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment;
  • Effective time management and attention to detail;
  • Experience in working with children and/or disability and confidence in your role with children and their parents;
  • Compliance – SPA Membership, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Training, Driver’s License & Vehicle.
