Princess Alexandra Hospital are looking for a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist to join their In-Reach Rehabilitation Service. This role will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist rehabilitation to patients in acute wards at the Princess Alexandra Hospital under an in-reach model of care. The team will deliver services to patients under the care of other medical and surgical specialties to enable earlier rehabilitation while acute care needs are being addressed, and to assist with the timely flow of patients through the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

About the Role
- Provide specialist rehabilitation services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service,
- Provide in-reach services to patients on acute wards
- Provide inpatient consultations
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including case conference, family meetings and inter-speciality meetings
- Potential to undertake home visits, if required to assist with inpatient flow
- Training, education and supervision of junior medical staff and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team
- Professional leadership in the evaluation and quality improvement for the in-reach rehabilitation service.
- This role will work closely with the Directors of the rehabilitation sub-speciality services offered at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and with the Director of Geriatric Medicine.
