Senior Stakeholder Relations Adviser

About the role
We’re after a Senior Stakeholder Relations Adviser to drive solutions to whole-of-organisation stakeholder opportunities and issues and help build and coordinate V/Line’s community partnership programs and events.
Reporting to the Head of Community and Partnerships, the Senior Stakeholder Relations Adviser will strengthen V/Line’s relationship with key stakeholders and prepare cross-functional responses to emerging stakeholder opportunities and issues. It will help deliver the community and partnerships strategy and coordinate whole-of-business engagement and participation in community, industry and stakeholder forums.
The role will see you:

  • Drive organisation-wide stakeholder initiatives and find innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues and respond to underlying needs
  • Represent V/Line in various government and industry forums, working groups and events
  • Coordinate and deliver V/Line CEO’s regional rail and network engagements and wider organisation events.
  • Provide strategic advice to corporate affairs leaders and prepare clear and informative communication and content.
This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity.
About you
To meet the challenges of this position, you will come with demonstrated experience in a stakeholder role.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
  • The ability to build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be efficient in project delivery, delivering community facing programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong writing, oral, editorial abilities, and comfort presenting in group sessions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through challenging issues with stakeholders to diplomatically solve issues.
  • Good attention to detail, be highly organised and able to drive projects to completion.
  • Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment screening including, probity (police) checks, medical assessment, and Australian entitlement to work. Employees of V/Line are required to maintain a valid Working with Children Check Victoria (Employee) for the duration of employment.
Remuneration for this role will be starting from $124,000 inclusive of superannuation and determined in line with skills and experience.
