An exciting opportunity exists for a Farm Hand to join the team at Reedy Creek, a family-owned grazing and cropping enterprise sprawling over a 4000 -acre property in the serene Western District of Victoria. The property is a hub of agricultural productivity with a bustling operation that nurtures 5,000 crossbred and Merino breeding ewes and fluctuating numbers of trade and agistment cattle, adding further diversity to the role. Also integral to its operations are 1500 acres of vibrant cropping land growing seasonal wheat, barley, canola and beans.
The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in animal husbandry and adeptly handle all sheep and cattle tasks. Duties extend to fencing and overall property maintenance, ensuring the smooth running of the farm's varied agricultural initiatives. Tractor operations will be required occasionally, including sowing, spraying, spreading, general front-end loader work and moving field bins and augers during harvest and field preparation during peak season.
The team at Reedy Creek comprises a dedicated, hands-on property manager, a part-time Station Hand, and a contingent of skilled contractors focused on mustering and stock processing. The farm is a modern agriculture model, featuring well-organized laneways, state-of-the-art undercover Prattley yards, and a Prattley Sheep Hulk Handler, alongside modern tractors and buggies designed for efficient and safe stock management.

Wickliffe is a small town in the western districts of Victoria, located 10 minutes from Lake Bolac. In Lake Bolac, you will find medical, banking, schooling, and other required services. For more major services, the property is located 70 km from Hamilton, 65 km from Ararat, 100 km from Ballarat, or 2 hours and 40 minutes from Melbourne.
