The opportunity
We have an exciting new role available for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our Internal Talent team here at QBE. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Business Partner for Technology, Strategy & Transformation and Modernisation, you will work closely with the team to source hard to fill roles and build talent pools for roles predominantly across Technology and Modernisation.
We don’t currently have an established Sourcing structure in place, so part of your role will be to help create and establish the sourcing function, including the design and rollout of the sourcing strategy and metrics.
Your new role
As an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be an expert at finding the passive candidates who could be a perfect fit but are not actively job hunting. You will know LinkedIn like the back of your hand and will ideally have a great network and resources you can leverage. A background sourcing in the Technology and/or Modernisation space will be an advantage, along with a couple of years of Agency, Search or Internal Recruitment experience.
You will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and will sit in on job briefs with our Hiring Leaders, to get the best understanding of the roles your expertise are required to source for. You will gain exposure to the end-to-end recruitment process and may also pick up end-to-end roles as and when required, when role volumes are high.
As this is a brand new role and function for us here at QBE, we will rely on your guidance and expertise in terms of putting strategies in place and best practice. Therefore, we need you to have the experience and ability to communicate with confidence, get buy-in from the business and support the wider Talent team with all things Strategic Sourcing.
About you
You’re a Strategic Sourcing/Talent Acquisition professional looking to use your existing skills and expertise to support a high profile portfolio during a busy time. You might already be in a similar Sourcing role, or perhaps you’re in an Agency or Search firm looking to make the move to internal. Either way, you’ll come to this role with an inquisitive mindset and a focus on best practice recruitment processes and will immerse yourself in your portfolio to fully understand the people, the context and the roles you’ll be sourcing for.
You’ll have exceptional people skills and can apply these to your hiring managers/stakeholders and your candidates to deliver a professional yet targeted approach to Sourcing. With exposure to LinkedIn Recruiter, Seek Premium Talent and other headhunting tools, you’ll be able to proactively identify talent within the market to develop networks of internal and external candidates to fill vacancies and build talent pools quickly and efficiently.
