About the roleWe are excited to announce that we are looking for a Senior Digital Strategy Analyst to be part of our Orica Digital Solutions team. This role is to be based in our Melbourne office.Orica Digital Solutions receives valuable support through comprehensive assessments and evaluations of their strategic, commercial, and growth endeavors. This involves conducting consistent in-depth analyses of various facets including commodities, financial performance, market trends, competition, and asset evaluations.Additionally, the team is adept at crafting compelling presentations, constructing financial models, and preparing board papers that articulate the strategic rationale and propose optimal routes for major initiatives. This Senior Digital Strategy Analyst will conduct analyses & targeted reviews to support the strategic, commercial & growth initiatives for Orica Digital Solutions.What you will be doingStrategic Analysis and Review:

• Provide crucial support to Orica Digital Solutions through in-depth analyses and reviews of strategic, commercial, and growth initiatives.
• Conduct comprehensive performance and trend analyses, covering areas such as commodities, financial performance, markets, competitors, and asset reviews.

Presentation and Communication:

• Develop compelling presentations, financial models, and board papers.
• Effectively communicate strategic logic and recommend pathways for major initiatives to internal stakeholders and leadership.

Project Management:

• Take charge of key workstreams for both strategic and commercial initiatives.
• Ensure seamless project management, coordinating various aspects to drive successful implementation of initiatives.

Continuous Analysis and Improvement:

• Regularly monitor and analyze market dynamics, identifying opportunities and threats.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement by providing insights and recommendations based on continuous assessment of strategic and commercial landscapes.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights for informed decision-making.
• Foster effective communication and coordination across different departments to align strategic objectives.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Identify potential risks associated with strategic initiatives and conduct thorough risk assessments.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, ensuring the success and resilience of planned initiatives.

Data-Driven Decision Support:

• Leverage data analytics to provide decision support for strategic initiatives, ensuring data-driven insights guide key business decisions.

What you will bring

• Minimum 3 to 6 years experience post qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement.
• Ability to plan, influence & execute.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
• Technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.).
• Experience in management consulting/business consulting is highly preferred.
