Senior Structural Designer

About the Role:
Reporting to Lead Designer, you will play a crucial role in the engineering team, leading the design and development of structural solutions for mining, mineral processing, and bulk export equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the structural design and development process for mining, mineral processing, and bulk export equipment.
• Mentor and nurture a team of drafters, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Utilise MicroStation and ProSteel software to create detailed design drawings and models.
• Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure design specifications are met.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess structural integrity and identify potential improvements.
• Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including technical reports and drawings.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must have heavy industrial design experience focus on mining and mineral processing equipment.
• Proven experience in leading design teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and ProSteel software is essential.
