Long-standing mid-tier multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy who have offices across Australia. This position would be based from their modern office in Canberra which is where it all started for them.

The role
The team in Canberra is not too big or too small, so this is a rare opportunity to work across a variety of projects as opposed to getting pigeonholed into working on the same type of project day in day out. They have great clients whose projects are as diverse as they are challenging.
Due to growth they are seeking a Senior level Structural Drafter to work alongside senior engineers and to supervise the work of drafters and designers as required.
Key responsibilities

• Review drawings created by engineers to ensure they meet industry standards
• Provide feedback to engineers on drafts of blueprints that need improvements
• Prepare drawings for structural projects using Revit and Auto CAD
• Maintain register of drawings for projects
• Issue drawings and documents as directed by Project Manager and Design staff
• Monitor drafting costs and report progress to the Project Manager
• Assist with library of standard details
• Supervise the work of drafters and designers as required

The requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience drafting on structural projects
• Extensive experience with Revit and other drafting software
• Experience in structural steel, precast concrete, reinforced concrete and post tensioned concrete
• High quality modelling, documentation and collaboration experience
• Attention to detail
