Senior Structural Engineer - Building Structures

We are seeking a Senior Structural engineers with a passion for luxury residential and mid rise commercial / industrial buildings projects throughout Victoria. Have you had experience with large concrete and steel structures and are familiar with software such as ETABS, Space GASS and RAPT? If so, this role may be a great fit for you.

Responsibilities:

• Work with well established, local consultancies on a variety of exciting building projects.
• Resolve a range of engineering issues and problems, compile technical reports and accompanying presentations.
• Conduct detailed structural analysis, calculations, produce designs and design documentation using relevant software and industry standards.
• Manage the verification of the design in accordance with the quality system.
• Liaise with your team and industry experts to maintain your knowledge and understanding of trends and technology in Structural Engineering.
• Provide input on technical direction for engineering elements of projects undertaken by the company.
• Bring a high level of professionalism and great communication skills to carry out stakeholder interaction with clients, providing recommendations for solutions and needed actions.
• Collaborate with architects, design team, project managers and other engineering professionals.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities in structures for potential impact on safety and functionality.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering.
• Member of Engineers Australia.
• Ambition to work towards your RPEng or CPEng.
• 10 year+ local experience in a consultancy environment.
• Understanding of construction methods and their effect on design.
• Understanding of Australian standards.
• Previous design experience with reinforced  / post tension concrete, structural steel and timber
• Flexible and adaptable to working across a variety of projects.
