You'll be working from the design office of one of the world's largest port terminals. Working with a highly experienced team of Engineers in a vibrant environment, you’ll be involved in a wide variety of interesting and challenging projects. This will involve improving the asset integrity of wharves, jetties and materials handling structures with maintenance and repair designs.
About you:
- Experienced or Senior Structural Engineer
- 6-15 years exp. in maintenance-related structural design
- Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Ideally CPEng (or moving towards)
- Know structural maint. methods (wharves, jetties, materials handling)
- Ability to communicate engineering requirements at all levels
- Experience in structural steel maintenance
- Be a self-starter with hands on structural calculations & design softwares
- Either resident of, or able to relocate to the Mackay region
- Ability to obtain Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- Ability to obtain a construction Industry ‘White Card’
- C class driver's licence
Offering an initial 12-month contract, this position may be extended beyond depending on project requirements.
- Remuneration between $120k to $200k (negotiable on experience)
- Payment for all hours worked
