What we are looking for:
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.
• Solid knowledge of Firewalls and Network technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Meraki to provide support for hybrid network solutions spanning on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting networking components within Azure environments.
• Familiarity with Azure networking services such as Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall, Azure Load Balancer, and VPN Gateway.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Previous experience in ticket management and user support, as well as Familiarity with ITIL framework and incident management best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-700, AZ-900, AZ-104), and other cloud and networking certifications are a plus.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Provide expert-level technical support for network infrastructure solutions with a focus on Firewalls and Azure cloud environments.
• Handle network-related tickets escalated from the help desk or end-users, providing timely resolution and effective communication.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business impact and provide support in implementing service requests for technical network solutions.
• Skilful in troubleshooting of on-premises networks performance issue as well as Azure cloud services such as ExpressRoute and VPN Gateway configurations.
• Assess network performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for optimising network configurations for health and performance.
• Implement network security patches and firmware upgrades across range of different firewalls and network devices.
• Take calls from end-users experiencing network issues, troubleshoot problems remotely or escalate as necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
• Document all ticket resolutions, including troubleshooting steps taken and solutions implemented, to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures, related to Azure services.
