Also referred to as the Senior Intelligence & Solutions Analyst within CFA, this role is responsible for the management and development of systems and processes that assist with the overall functionality of CFA's Operational Communications portfolio, including the design and development of computer programs that store and organise CFA's emergency response data and mapping used by the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) service provider 000Vic and associated alerting systems.This is a unique role, which will see you training and providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders to improve and enhance CFA's ability to meet operational and emergency response requirements. You will be involved in building partnerships with others from emergency service agencies to share knowledge, expertise and technology to support a safer Victoria.About YouThe successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Experience with the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) environment is necessary, as well as extensive knowledge and experience in emergency call handling and dispatching methodologies.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of CAD data and response philosophies for all ESO's and knowledge and understanding of the emergency management sector.
- Experience with the practical application of spatial technologies, including exposure to the use and application of GIS software such as MapInfo and ESRI ArcGIS will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated Project Management experience with the ability to understand and resolve problems using strong analytical/technical skills.
- Highly developed organisational and planning skills to manage time effectively to ensure strict deadlines are met and competing priorities are effectively managed.
- High level interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with staff, leadership teams and external stakeholders.
