About the Role:
As a key member of Aston Sustainability's national team, reporting to the Director, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact. You'll operate with a high level of autonomy and accountability, supported by dedicated teams in Sydney and Melbourne. Key requirements for this position:
- Lead sustainability projects from inception to completion, including conducting research, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies and action plans for clients across various industries, with a focus on driving measurable impact.
- Conduct sustainability assessments and audits to identify opportunities for improvement and optimise resource use.
- Proven track record in delivering Green Star, LEED and/or WELL certifications
- Deep understanding and implementation of holistic ESD principles
- Ability to develop standardised templates and provide upfront project guidance
- Experience in preparing technical reports and providing effective advice
- Ability to operate autonomously and cultivate client relationships
- Prepare and deliver engaging presentations, reports, and training sessions to clients and stakeholders
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and adaptability to complex situations
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in sustainability, including emerging technologies, standards, and certifications
- Demonstrated ability to evolve with the changing sustainability consultancy sector
- Strong desire for professional growth and leadership development
Essential Selection Criteria:
- 5+ years in sustainability consultancy, building services, or related field
- Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP)
- Strong team-working and communication skills
Desirable Skills:
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP ID+C), or LEED GA
- WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP)
- Knowledge of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks such as GRESB, GRI, TCFD, TNFD and SDGs
- Accredited NABERS Assessor (Energy, Water, Waste, IEQ for Offices)
- Climate Active Accreditation
- Experience with National Construction Code of Australia
