What you’ll be doing
We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical architecture expertise including design, planning, consulting and where required the delivery of these technical solutions to Atturra Managed Services stakeholders (internal and external).
The Senior Systems Engineer does require to be hands-on, involved with implementation and troubleshooting. This position is required to work closely with service delivery managers to assist in the engagement and analysis of client requirements in order to develop proposal and tender documentation, assess new tools and technologies to enhance the future technical direction of the organization and our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Working with customers and other parts of business to ensure alignment with customer requirements:
• Acting as an ongoing escalation point for technical issues from both managed services and professional services.
• Providing support to operational and project delivery teams
• Work with the Managed Services project teams, customer stakeholders and technology partners to ensure appropriate solutions are designed, developed and delivered, including ensuring solutions align with customers overall ICT strategies;
• Analyse and define customer requirements to facilitate the design of appropriate solutions;
• Demonstrate an ability to promote Atturra Managed Services offerings and identify opportunities for new business within existing customer sites;
• Development, documentation and compliance with business and internal policies, procedures and best practices.
• Heavily involved in transition operations for projects and new managed services customers.
Technical skills
• Architect business technology solutions with an emphasis on automation, hybrid cloud, VMware, BaaS, DRaaS, InTune/SCCM and MDM;
• Create professional level documentation as required;
• Provide professional and specialised technology consultation services to customers as required;
Leadership skills
• Provide specialist technical advice and support to other AMS team members as required and act as a point of escalation for key technical issues;
• Mentor and support junior engineers and administrators
• Assess new technologies and contribute to the ongoing technical direction of the organisation;
Project support and transitions:
• Assist in the transition of IT solutions from Delivery through to Operations, providing support and direction to both teams.
• Assist in the transition of IT solutions from Pre-Sales to Delivery, providing support and direction to both the presales and delivery teams;
• Be involved in onboarding new managed services customers, including
o Liaising with projects team on all matters relating to onboarding
o Advising on integrating customer practices with Atturra
o Ensuring appropriate technical skills are present in the leveraged MS team to support the new customers
o Quality assurance checking documentation for handover
o Advising on process and technical designs where required
