As a growing entity, the tax function is also going through growth with change management and leadership required to establish new policies and procedures across the various divisions and entities.
About the role
As a Senior Tax Analyst you will have previously had exposure to corporate tax compliance and advisory aspect for ASX businesses. Whilst understanding the importance of strong tax compliance and stakeholder engagement to initiate change.
This role offers the opportunity to assist in establishing the tax function in a rapidly expanding organisation whilst also building your reputation as a solid team player. You'll also need to be the type of character who thrives in a non-hierarchal environment and rolls up their sleeves to get the job done.
Regular duties include but are not limited to:
- Assistance with the preparation of semi-annual and annual tax reporting obligations, including tax effect accounting reconciliations
- Assistance with ongoing tax compliance obligations, including income tax, GST, FBT and stamp duty
- Assist in preparing for and responding to tax reviews and audits
- Conduct regular tax sensitive account review and tax fixed asset register review
- Review and prepare monthly BAS including the reconciliation of the Group's GST accounts.
- Assist in preparing for and responding to tax reviews and audits
- Enhance existing processes and procedures to mitigate tax risk across the business
- Provide tax support to the broader business
- Ad-hoc tax matters and liaising with the ATO
About you
- CA/CPA qualified or equivalent qualification
- CTA advantageous
- 2-5 years within an ASX listed tax division or within a chartered firm with ASX listed or large corporate clients.
- Solid experience with the application of Australian tax laws and solving complex issues
- Experience with tax effect accounting in accordance with IFRS/AIFRS is desirable
- Able to work to deadlines and manage a number of competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and Powerpoint;
- Background in logistics/infrastructure and a working knowledge of Oracle, Alteryx, ERP/EPM/FCCS would be considered desirable.
