Senior Technical Writer

Squiz is looking to add a Senior Technical Writer to our team, someone who is very customer focused. They understand the importance of creating documentation that will assist our clients using our products on a daily basis. You need to be comfortable running point on documentation deliverables, owning the delivery from start to finish. This team works very well together and has your back should you need it. You have to be comfortable working across various teams, pivoting and changing focus as priorities/needs change.
What do I need at a base level

• Know how to write user docs (obviously).
• Know how to use Git (GUI or terminal) to manage docs (docs-as-code).
• Be comfortable with your own time management abilities.
• Be a fantastic and proactive docs champion for the team.
• Ideally have experience in a similar environment (tech/SaaS)

What would seperate you from the rest

• Comfortable with mark-up languages like AsciiDoc.
• Comfortable with mixed media (make short videos if that’s the best way to solve the information challenge).
• Have experience with writing API docs and resource descriptions.
• Have experience with creating microcopy/UX copy.
• Have experience with creating copy for Command Line interfaces.

Location

• This position is open to candidates in the eastern states of Australia with full working rights (we are unable to sponsor for this position)
