About the role:
Our Senior Technician will use their strong leadership skills building upon these to contribute in steering our team of workshop experts and field technicians toward efficient processes, smooth workshop operations. This role is all about leading by example in a rapidly evolving industry, being effective in all tasks undertaken at a technician level, ensuring service excellence in line with business objectives, within our expanding company, all while enjoying competitive compensation that reflects your expertise and dedication. We are looking for an individual who has experience in providing a high-quality of service and repair of plant and equipment used within the Civil, Road Transport, and Utility sectors. We have preference of “what can I learn” over “what I know” when considering a growth-mindset. Although this candidate will have a baseline understanding across these industries’ operations, they will be required to employ an active-learning mindset, and a keenness to gain further knowledge and understanding, further aiding them in their growth-mentality, career progression, and upskilling toward a managerial workshop position.
Role responsibilities:
- Service and repair a wide range of plant and equipment used in the Civil, Road Transport, and Utility sectors, including but not limited to excavators, skid steers, trucks, etc.
- Utilise your knowledge of hydraulic systems and auto electrical systems to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently.
- Uphold and elevate our customer service standards, ensuring every interaction leaves a lasting impression.
- Master the art of paperwork, ensuring all job-related documentation is completed promptly and accurately.
- Champion integrity, reliability, and discretion in all your work, setting the gold standard for professionalism.
About you:
- Extensive industry experience - possessing a relevant trade qualification in the mechanical field, in light or diesel mechanics.
- Strong understanding of road transport, trucks, hydraulic systems, auto-electrical and plant and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Communicate with confidence and clarity, maintaining grace under pressure and assisting the team through any challenge.
- Embrace innovation and ingenuity, employing creative problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles and seize opportunities.
- A high level of attention to detail, and autonomy is something you pride yourself on.
- Full, unrestricted South Australian license.
