Queensland Rail have an opportunity for a full-time permanent position as a Senior Telecommunications Interface Adviser.
Overview of the role:
You will be a proactive partner between the Telecommunications Engineering and major projects Teams to build capability and support the successful execution of interface activities, share specialist information and report on risks, barriers and mitigation.
In this role you can expect a mix of tasks including:
- Provide a clear and consistent Telecoms Engineering interface to the Major Project Team.
- Assist the integrated planning, implementation, and deployment of various Telecommunications Engineering systems for Major Projects.
- Provide oversight and alignment to the various intra-Telecoms technical teams to ensure cross system harmonics and efficiencies.
- Assist in the identification of inter-discipline dependencies, deficiencies, conflicts, risks and opportunities that arises from the integrated plan.
- Identify, assess and report on risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and report on Business Readiness requirements and milestones.
- Accountability for the planning and delivery of Queensland Rail works.
What you will bring:
- Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to enable the identification of risks, issues and opportunities.
- High level of interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Telecommunications Engineering systems knowledge and its interfaces and role in the business. Such as Train Control Systems, Passenger Information Systems, CCTV, Data Networks, Power Supervisory System, Station Systems and Radio Systems.
- Substantial knowledge of Telecommunications technologies and standards.
- Management skills across teams of technical specialists, coordinators, and project managers.
- Experience with procurement processes and project works.
This role will require Occasional pre-planned/ad-hoc weekend work for handover and acceptance testing.
