The Technology and Information Management (TAIM) team maintain Comcare's Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) infrastructure and provide strategic leadership, governance, solutions and advice for the effective management of information and IT systems.
The Applications Development unit is part of TAIM and is responsible for the development, quality assurance, support and maintenance of several core business applications and software products, both in-house and third-party developed. The unit also participates and contributes to the incident, problem, change and release management processes to ensure consistent, reliable, and continued business operations.
The key duties of the position include
The Senior Test Analyst will be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle resulting in proactive and continuous engagement of various stakeholders which may include, but not limited to, Business Representatives, Subject Matter Experts, Application Developers, Business Analysts, Application Support and Operations teams.
The Senior Test Analyst will lead, participate and assist with various testing activities and phases including coordination and promotion of software builds through test environments and Production.
This role will contribute to the team's strong client-focused culture in support of Comcare's business operations, by:
- Providing assurance of software quality before deployment within both traditional and agile delivery environments.
- Leading the management and control of Technology test process.
- Leading the planning, development and implementation of test documentation to ensure adequate coverage and communication of testing activities.
- Seeking acceptance and approval of test documentation.
- Ensuring test process activities are executed accordingly.
- Leading the preparation of test environments including user and test account setup and verification.
- Coordinating testing activities including providing support to Business during User Acceptance Testing.
- Reviewing requirement and design documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Designing, developing and executing appropriate and reusable test cases applying test techniques relevant to the product/application under test.
- Defect identification, reporting and tracking.
- Creating and managing knowledge artefacts and test assets relating to both the product/application and testing.
- Working in collaboration with Technology teams to understand the software solution/s and support the prompt resolution of defects found during testing.
- Supporting the education of stakeholders in the use of software testing methodology and tools.
- Coaching, mentoring and guiding team members.
Qualifications/Experience
- Mandatory - Minimum 5 years' software testing experience
- Desirable - Technical testing experience will be an advantage.
