The Role
The Senior Test Paraprofessional is responsible for ensuring both technical and team leadership of advanced technical electrical testing requirements across Yurika’s current and prospective portfolio of works. Working individually or as a specialist within a team, the role provides leadership, supervision and advice in both technical systems and Safe Systems of Work for delivery of complex testing and commissioning requirements across the Yurika business.
About You
Critical to your success in this role is your comprehensive and proven field experience undertaking testing and commissioning works for utilities or private contractors in a senior capacity. You have proven technical leadership in problem solving and the application of technical testing analysis and calculations. You have demonstrated technical knowledge of various NSP and private networks, private plant, communications, protection metering and controls systems.
In addition to the above, your skills and experience include:

• Secondary system relay testing experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of information technology applications relevant to the work being undertaken including the ability to operate several testing software applications including Omicron.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise work for self and team to meet required targets
• Demonstrated knowledge of, and commitment to workplace health and safety, and environmental practices, specifically electrical testing protocols and electrical safe working practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a part of and ability to lead a team of technical experts
• Ability to identify and provide training, coaching, and technical support to individuals and teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of acts, regulations, and codes of practice relevant to the work being undertaken.

Essentials

• Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Current Queensland electrical work licence
• Powerlink Queensland SDM9/9.2 authorisation.
• General Construction Induction card
• Current C class Open drivers licence
