The role

Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive testing design and quality assurance methodologies for the Oracle apex applications, data warehouse and test automation, ensuring the thorough testing and assurance of data products across diverse environments-from source systems to access provisioning. As an internal specialist consultant, collaborate closely with project teams to accurately interpret testing requirements, provide strategic leadership, offer expert advice, and effectively communicate testing outcomes. Uphold best practices in ICT testing frameworks by implementing quality testing methods, encompassing strategies, policies, processes, templates, tools, and standards, aligned with industry standards and organizational objectives.

Responsible for crafting project-specific Test Strategy and Test Plan(s) within a robust requirements and risk-based testing and assurance framework, while managing various testing activities and resources to meet project milestones effectively. Maintain an in-depth understanding of both technical and business design requirements, actively identifying alternative solutions and leading the review process to ensure alignment with project goals. Additionally, ensure ethical decision-making in achieving organizational objectives and demonstrate compliance with contemporary human resource practices and policies, including workplace health and safety regulations, ethical behaviour, equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination principles, and adherence to Queensland Health's Code of Conduct.

The successful person

To excel in this role, you should possess proven experience in the healthcare sector, ideally with a focus on software testing within statistical and data collection domains. Expertise in planning and executing system, acceptance, and automation tests is essential, along with a deep understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and practices within the context of large-scale IM/ICT projects.

Furthermore, you should demonstrate a record of accomplishment of implementing rigorous testing methods and frameworks to uphold testing integrity. Your capabilities should extend to devising comprehensive test strategies, crafting test products and cases, and overseeing all testing phases, including planning, resource management, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring auditability for expansive IM/ICT initiatives.
