Currently Scape Properties is developing a 623-lot master planned estate at Crangan Bay- Central Coast. The development is ideally surrounded by National Parks and enjoying nearly 1 km of lakefront reserve on Lake Macquarie making it one of the most appealing land release estates the Central Coast currently has to offer.
Due to the current demand in ongoing developments, Scape Properties is currently seeking a highly organised, self-motivated Town Planner to join our team based out of our Terrigal and/or Crangan Bay Office.
Planning Position
The position of Senior Town Planner will be to assist with ongoing developments. This role will be a client-side position working alongside consultants to deliver our current and future developments focusing on approvals with council and state led authorities. The role will create immediate exposure to a wide variety of town planning aspects covering review, coordination, preparation, assessment, and management of development applications, development feasibility assessments, as well as preparing environmental impact statements and review of environmental factors for various projects. Previous experience in advocating projects with government bodies will be also preferred.
In this role you will have ownership of projects and lots of autonomy while being a part of a supportive and connected team.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in town planning
- Provide a high range of services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process and management.
- 5+ years’ experience in either the public or private sector
- Well-developed communication skills, both written, verbal and graphics
- Understanding of key planning principles and practices with the ability and demonstrated willingness to learn.
- Thorough working knowledge and understanding of NSW planning and approval systems and current strategic planning framework.
- To be self-motivated and able work both independently as well as be guided by your colleagues.
- A high level of competency in standard office computer programs
