As a Senior Town Planner, you will join the statutory planning team to provide assistance to the Capital Works Team, Asset Management Team and specialist advice to various project teams navigating the NSW planning process.Day to day duties will involve:
- Assessing the impact of Development Applications by third parties on department assets and operations and preparing submissions to state and local government
- Assisting Director's and their teams in managing state and local government DA processes which includes reviewing consultant approaches, attending pre-DA meetings and negotiating conditions of consent
- Providing advice on various statutory and strategic planning planning requirements to internal and external stakeholders to assist their understanding of the approval process.
- Minimum 3-5 year's experience with statutory planning, ideally with consultancy or state government experience
- Experience with SSD's, Part 5 Assessments and/or infrastructure DA's will be highly desirable
- Project Management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
