Role Details

The Senior Training and Development Coordinator is a role within Youth Justice and is accountable to the Training, Compliance and Welfare Manager for:

  • Designing, facilitating, and evaluating training programs AND DEVELOPMENT initiatives for new recruits and

internal staff to promote the continuous learning, development, and upskilling of staff within Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre.

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining new and existing training programs to ensure accuracy,

relativity and compliance with legislative and operational standards and requirements.

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of initiatives that support the attraction,

development and retention of staff across the Youth Justice and Exceptional Needs Directorate.

  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment processes, including leading assessment centres, for all roles within

the Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre to support compliance with legislative requirements.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to

deliver quality training programs and material to achieve business outcomes.

Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.

This position is located at Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre.

Screening Checks
