Senior Ui Artist

OVERVIEW

We're looking for a Senior UI artist with an eye for clean and playful design, possess superior UI skills, and have the ability to translate high-level requirements into coherent UI flow in order to create beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design game UI including HUD and GUI elements, menus, iconography, etc.
• Create UX wireframes, mockups, etc. to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Work within the UI team and provide guidance for the look/feel of key user interfaces and styles, engaging in all aspects of the design process to ensure a fitting and consistent art style
• Work with designers to determine the functionality and features of the UI and ensure that game information is well conveyed
• Constant research & interpretation of the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
• To help in reinforcing great teamwork and amazing studio culture!

Skills Required

• Experience in Graphic Design and genuine interest in designing user interfaces for games and/or other related software
• Ability to contribute to a vision and help guide your projects to success.
• Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
• Experience within Photoshop
• Excellent graphic design skills (design, layout, and typography)
• Proven ability to work on a diverse range of styles
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Experience with software development processes and project management tools
• Ability to clearly articulate reasoning behind design decisions
• Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines effectively
• Excellent initiative, self-motivation, communication, organizational and problem solving skills, as well as team working and the ability to accept and follow direction
• The ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously and manage competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently to get the job done without day-to-day direction.
• Have a can-do with the ability to turn a negative into a positive, no problem is too great.
• Genuine interest in video games or the gaming industry

Bonus Points

• Video Games industry experience
• Experience in 2D Art/Illustration
• Experience working within Unreal Engine
• Experience developing for VR or console titles
